At this time Charlie Sheen was going through a very rough patch, both with his wife Brooke Meuller and with his drug addiction. Denise Richards stepped up to the plate to help out his family and especially his two young sons, Bob and Max. When in an interview she was asked why she stepped into Sheen’s life, she explained that, “He was 3 years sober and he was working and doing really really well.”
